Senior Automation Engineer

Intego Group is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to participate in a project for a national tire distribution company and its high-volume critical customers. This project requires an individual who can understand the functional requirements of a business process that will enable the automation of business procedures.

The Automation Engineer is a high-impact developer responsible for the end-to-end implementation and modernization of automation systems that drive enterprise efficiency and interconnectivity between Applications. This role acts as an active developer who takes complex business requirements and transforms them into scalable, production-ready solutions.

Role Specifics:

  • End-to-End Development: Build workplace automation solutions from the ground up utilizing the Microsoft Power Platform, Atlassian, and custom .NET applications that increase efficiency and eliminate manual effort.
  • System Integrity: Ensure the stability and functionality of applications during the development lifecycle to guarantee high reliability and up time upon deployment.
  • Knowledge Leadership: Develop and maintain comprehensive technical guides and documentation for all built solutions, setting the standard for the automation team.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Deliver technical demonstrations and training sessions to key stakeholders to ensure the value of automation investments is fully realized.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement secure automations that adhere to organizational policies ensuring data privacy.
  • Agile & Adaptive: Operates within a team-based Agile/Sprint development environment, contributing to the planning and delivery of high-quality workflows.

Experience:

  • 5-7 years’ experience in automation engineering or similar roles.
  • 5-7 years’ experience in Microsoft Power Platform, Logic Apps, or similar technologies.
  • Proficiency with SQL, Rest API, and at least one programming language (C#, Python, etc.).
  • Direct experience with version control (specifically Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Demonstrate ability to build robust error-handling, logging, and alerting frameworks to ensure high availability of automated projects.
  • Knowledge of enterprise security standards & authentication, including OAuth, credential management, and data privacy compliance.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Platform Expertise: Mastery of Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) and Atlassian products is required.
  • Development Frameworks: Hands-on knowledge of .NET and the Visual Studio IDE is required for building custom connectors and applications.
  • Azure Infrastructure: Deep knowledge of Azure deployments and telemetry, including Logic Apps, Azure SQL, Service Bus, and Application Insights.
  • Data Architecture: Advanced experience with Dataverse, including complex table modeling, relationship management, and security roles.
  • API Mastery: Expert ability to work with REST APIs and GraphQL, including handling complex authentication (OAuth/Tokens), pagination, and testing via Postman.
  • Version Control: Proficiency with Git and repository management strategies for collaborative development.
  • Agile Leadership: Extensive experience working within an Agile/Scrum environment.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Data Stack Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of SQL (T-SQL), understanding of data warehousing concepts, data lakes, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Low Code App Building: Power Apps expertise, Model-driven & Canvas.
  • Microsoft Products Integration, including Power Platform, Fabric, Dynamics, etc.
  • Strong preference for candidates holding relevant Microsoft certifications: PL-600 (Architect), PL-400 (Developer), or DP-600/700 (Fabric/Data Engineer)
