It’s official. We are now in Costa Rica!
We have expanded our operations to San José, Costa Rica and now Biometrics and Clinical Data Science professionals can find a new place to live and work. If you’re an eager adventurous professional in the clinical data science/biometrics space, this opportunity might be for you.
You may have many reasons that relocation to a tropical environment sounds appealing. It may be as simple as being interested in experiencing Costa Rica or it could be much more complicated. Whatever your reasons, we invite you to consider joining our office in Costa Rica. Our company has space for statistical programmers, biostatisticians, clinical data managers, and others. Our commitment is to simplify the relocation process as much as possible:
- Our attorneys will take care of ALL your legal documents for relocation to Costa Rica.
- You will be employed on a full-time basis at Intego Costa Rica. If you decide to seek longer term residency, our attorneys will facilitate this process.
- We have a beautiful new office in the San Pedro region of San Jose and have implemented a hybrid work-from-office model with at least 2 days per week in the office with the rest of the team. This is a modern new building with a Gastropub on the first floor, parking, the train station and University of Costa Rica just a block away, and many restaurants within walking distance.
- We offer a relocation package to help cover part of the moving expenses for you and your family.

The program is aimed at specialists in the biometrics and clinical data science industry. The ideal profile we target is senior-level statistical programmers, clinical data managers, biostatisticians, and other clinical data professionals.
You’ll be contacted by our HR team to set up a quick technical assessment and get information about your legal documents. We’ll start working with our attorneys and our clients right away.
It depends on your circumstances, but we aim to finalize the whole process, including the search for a long-term rental for you to live in, in 2-3 months.
Many of our clients have offices in the Pacific time zone in North America. To better communicate with the project team, the time zone difference may become a serious bottleneck. Costa Rica’s proximity to the West Coast of the United States makes it an ideal place for project collaboration.
Besides the standard provisions for the industry, we ask for a minimum commitment of 12 months.
During your technical assessment with our team, you’ll be placed at the junior, mid-level, senior, or principal level. Your compensation will be determined based on the assessment.
Although Costa Rica's state health system is very good, we also provide private medical insurance to make accessing healthcare services easier for you and your family.
According to various online cost-of-living calculators (e.g., www.numbeo.com), San Jose is as expensive as Warsaw, Poland. You can check the prices online, or our HR team will be happy to provide you with more details during the call.
Occasionally, yes. Any number of short trips for a few days is not a problem.
We provide flexibility around this. We require two days of the week to work from our office.
