Boston, MA | May 31–June 3, 2026
PharmaSUG 2026 brought together some of the brightest minds in clinical research, biometrics, and statistical programming, and Intego Clinical was proud to be part of the conversation in Boston this year. As the industry continues to evolve, this year’s conference highlighted not only emerging technologies and regulatory trends, but also the people, partnerships, and ideas driving the future of clinical development.
As a proud Bronze Sponsor of PharmaSUG 2026, Intego Clinical reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the growth and advancement of the clinical research community. Events like PharmaSUG create invaluable opportunities for collaboration, learning, and innovation, and we are honored to contribute to an event that continues to shape the future of our industry.
From artificial intelligence and global data standards to hands-on learning and leadership development, PharmaSUG 2026 showcased an industry embracing change while staying grounded in scientific rigor and patient-focused outcomes.
AI Takes Center Stage
Artificial intelligence was undoubtedly one of the most talked-about topics at this year’s conference. Through the Industry AI Spotlight Panel Discussion and numerous technical sessions, attendees explored how AI is beginning to transform the way clinical data is managed, analyzed, and submitted.
Conversations focused on AI-assisted frameworks for ADaM standardization, strategies for SAS-to-R and Python migration, and the importance of human-in-the-loop validation to ensure data quality and regulatory compliance. While AI continues to unlock new possibilities, one message remained consistent throughout the conference: technology works best when paired with human expertise.
At Intego Clinical, we see AI as an opportunity to enhance efficiency, strengthen quality, and empower our teams to deliver even greater value to our clients and partners.
Supporting Global Data Standards
As clinical trials become increasingly global, the need for harmonized data standards and submission-ready datasets continues to grow. Sessions throughout PharmaSUG highlighted evolving requirements across major regulatory agencies, including the FDA, PMDA, and NMPA, and emphasized the importance of building flexible processes that can support global submissions.
With teams and expertise spanning multiple regions, Intego Clinical remains committed to helping sponsors navigate complex regulatory landscapes while maintaining consistency, quality, and compliance every step of the way.
Continuous Learning Through Hands-On Innovation
One of the many things that makes PharmaSUG unique is its focus on practical learning. This year’s Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) workshops gave attendees the opportunity to roll up their sleeves and explore topics such as dynamic time-warping in SAS, defensive programming techniques, and coding practices that improve reproducibility and efficiency.
At Intego Clinical, continuous learning is part of who we are. Investing in technical growth and staying curious about new approaches allows our teams to remain agile and deliver innovative solutions in an ever-changing industry.
The Evolving Role of Statistical Programmers
Beyond technology, another important theme emerged throughout the conference: the evolving role of statistical programmers.
Today’s programming professionals are doing much more than writing code. They are leading change, influencing strategy, and collaborating across functions to drive better outcomes throughout the clinical development process. Sessions on leadership and career development highlighted the growing importance of communication, adaptability, and strategic thinking in an increasingly AI-enabled world.
This shift reflects what we see every day at Intego Clinical, where our teams combine technical excellence with leadership, collaboration, and a commitment to solving complex challenges for our clients.
Building Connections That Matter
Beyond the sessions and workshops, PharmaSUG remains one of the best opportunities to connect with colleagues, exchange ideas, and build relationships across the industry. Throughout the week, the Intego Clinical team enjoyed engaging with peers, clients, and new connections who share our passion for advancing clinical research.
The conversations we had in Boston reinforced something we have always believed: innovation happens when people come together to share knowledge, challenge assumptions, and work toward common goals.
Looking Ahead
As we reflect on another inspiring PharmaSUG, we are grateful for the opportunity to learn, connect, and contribute to the conversations shaping the future of biometrics and clinical research.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by to connect with the Intego Clinical team in Boston. The relationships built and ideas exchanged during PharmaSUG 2026 will continue to inspire us in the months ahead. We are excited for what the future holds and look forward to seeing the PharmaSUG community again next year in Anaheim, California, for PharmaSUG 2027, as we continue advancing biometrics and shaping the future of clinical research together.
